Understanding Special Education & Organizing Your IEP Papers (for parents of students age 3 and up). Training includes what a parent should know about special education and ways to organize paperwork for individual education plans.

Educacion Especial. Hablaremos como organizer papeles importantes de la escuela de su hijo y sobre el IEP.

Thursday, November 6th, 9 AM to 11:30 AM
Understanding Special Education Assessments, presented by Matrix and Jon Lenz, Marin SELPA. Training includes: requesting an evaluation, understanding reports, tests & scores, and using the reports.

Thursday, December 4th, 9 AM to 11:30 AM
Students with Emotional Challenges and the IEP. Training includes an overview of the Community Mental Health process, E.D. eligibility and structuring the IEP.

Thursday, January 15th, 9AM to 11:30 AM
When You Have Concerns About Your Child's IEP. In this training, learn how to fine tune your concern and learn steps you can take for resolution.

Thursday, February 5th, 9 AM to 11:30 AM
When Behavior Impacts Learning: IEPs and Behavior Plans. This training covers the components of a behavior intervention plan and how such a plan can support your child.

Thursday, March 5th, 9 AM to 11:30 AM
Transition from Preschool to Kindergarten: For Students in Special Education. Training includes: IEP services, inclusion options, and preparing for elementary school.
