Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month 2023 Beyond the Conversation #DDAM2023 Logo
#DDAM2023.In celebration of this his year’s theme: Beyond the Conversation—the National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities (NACDD) developed a social media campaign to raise awareness about the inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in all facets of community life, including the barriers they often face in connecting to the communities where they live.
The social media campaign will showcase the excellent work that is being done to celebrate and improve the lives of people with developmental disabilities across the country. NACDD will feature the submissions of resources and materials from their partners in their DDAM Resource Guide 2023, which will be updated weekly throughout the end of March and shared with audiences nationwide. SCDD contributed the following two reports to the resource guide: Plan to Phase Out Subminimum Wages: The SB 639 Report and The Bill Ideas Report 2022.
