Featuring guest speakers Dr. Jessika Hurts, a licensed clinical psychologist in the Autism Clinic in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Stanford, and Officer Brian Simmons of the Redwood City Police Department.

This webinar’s goal is to empower families by providing them with tips and resources that can help prepare them for interactions with law enforcement. We will discuss why individuals with ASD are vulnerable, how they can prepare ahead of time, provide information on what to do during an interaction, and review strategies for parents who are present during an encounter. We will also provide resources available in the community.
