The White House Honors the Olmstead 25th Anniversary.
On June 22, 1999, the U.S. Supreme Court found in Olmstead v. L.C. (Olmstead) that the unjustified segregation of people with disabilities is a form of unlawful discrimination under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Centered at the event are people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and many DD Council representatives from across the nation will attend the gathering in person.
Festivities include a screening of the short film “Take Me Home” and conversations with disability advocates and senior Biden-Harris Administration leaders.
