By the time your child is 14 years old, the IEP team should be considering the courses your child is taking and preparing him or her for life after high school.

As a parent, you need to:

• Understand the Individual Transition Plan in the IEP
• Become more informed about what Transition means for your child
• Engage in critical conversations regarding your student’s future

This training will assist you in understanding the difference between earning a Diploma versus a Certificate of Completion and how this impacts your child’s post-secondary opportunities.
